Monday evening about 8:30 Marshall County Police Officer Rob Hafke investigated a single vehicle accident on Sycamore Road north of 3B Road.
A 2010 Honda was south bound on Sycamore Road north of 3B when the driver lost control for unknown circumstances. The vehicle crossed the north bound side of Sycamore Road and continued into a bean filed for approximately 200 feet before crashing into an approximately 10 foot deep ditch.
Because of the speed of the car, after striking the embankment the vehicle was ejected out and continued flipping through the air striking several trees before coming to rest facing north about 60 feet south of the ditch and about 20 feet east of Sycamore Road.
Both occupants of the vehicle; 16 year old Anthony Eldridge and 16 year old Hayden Alexander both of North Liberty denied driving the vehicle.
After an investigation by Officer Hafke it was determined that Eldridge was the driver. The vehicle is registered to Mark Alexander the father of the passenger Hayden Alexander.
Hayden was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend by Med Flight.
