The Summer Reading program is underway and children are encouraged to sign up and “Make a Splash at Your Library” this summer.  Children from pre-school up through 12th grade are eligible to participate in the two programs.  Children sign up, read books and record their progress through the library. In the lower levels children are given rewards for reading a specific number of books.  In the upper grades kids earn library dollars to use for the end of program auction in mid July.

Ronald McDonald will kick off the summer reading program with his fabulous “Go Active” Show at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  This performance will be in the Laramore Meeting Rooms.  Ronald Mc Donald has been coming to the library each year at the beginning of the reading program to excite the children about reading.

This is also the time when pop tabs will be presented to Ronald.  Anyone who has collected tabs over the past year may drop them off at the library.
