Golf Cart Ordinance Passes in Arogs

11/10/07 The Argos Town Council passed on the second and third readings the Golf Cart Ordinanance. This ordinance will not go into effect until January 1, 2008.

Town attorney, Ron Gifford, present a preliminary draft for the new Drug and Alcohol Policy for the town. Mr. Gifford said that four types of test would be pre-employment, post accident, random and suspicion. The Council tabled the policy for further study.

Three bids were opened for the new carpeting for the B & R Community Building. Helser Carpet, out of Warsaw, was the low bid of $3,484. The new carpet will be installed in March.

It was decided that the new Community Life Center of the First United Methodist Church will be the location of the town employees Christmas Party. The party will be for town employees, council members, police commission members and redevelopment members and their spouses. The date will be announced later.
