03/10/10 Join the Friends of Potato Creek Saturday, March 13 to help clean up the area around the newly reconstructed spring house. We will meet at the Porter Rea Cemetery parking lot at 1 pm and walk down trail 4 to the site. We will plan on working until 4:00, but if you can’t stay that long come for as long as you can. Our primary focus for the day will be to collect and catalog surface debris from a historic dump adjacent to the spring house. We will work on other clean up and landscaping projects at the site as time allows. Make sure to bring work gloves, a bottle of water and be prepared to get your shoes dirty. We will not be working in deep mud, but the springtime woods can be a little mushy. Tools will be provided. If you have questions, contact the Park at 574-656-8186.
