03/10/10 Richard (Ricky) Cooper III, a sixth grade student at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth, was the third place finisher in the Notre Dame Spelling Bee that was held at the Hammes Bookstore on Saturday, March 6th.
The competition lasted more than three hours and featured about 50 northern Indiana students in grades 4 through 6. As the third place finisher, Ricky received a trophy, a football, and tickets to the Blue/Gold game at Notre Dame.
