03/10/10 The 7th grade girls basketball team traveled to Laporte to take on Boston's Bruins on Monday night.  The Red Storm came out ready win and scored 13 points to their 6 in the first quarter.  They went in to the locker room at halftime with a score of 21-8 over Boston.  They came out ready to close the night with a win and outscored their opponents in the second half 10-2 ending the game with a 31-10 win.  Hunter Stevens was on fire and ended the game with 21 points.  Also scoring for the Red Storm were Kaydon Fosler, Kirsten Riise and Haley Harrell.  The Red Storm are now 13-2.
 
The 7th grade girls B team started the night out against the Bruins with a lot of momentum and had a tight game through the first half.  Only down by 3 going in to the 3rd quarter, the girls were ready to take home the win.  The girls battled Boston but fell short with a score of 19-9.  Scoring for the Red Storm were Arianna Eichelberg with 4, Emma Trappe and Sammi Davis with 2, and Carly Berger with 1.  The girls travel to Triton to take on the Trojans on Wednesday.

The 8th grade Lady Redstorm won 29-23 in overtime Monday night against LaPorte Boston.  Freethrow shooting was the key hitting 13-18 for the game from the line and hit 10 out of the last 12.  Scoring for the Redstorm were Savannah Mae with 16, Emily Eveland with 8, Alyssa Egierski and Emmelyn Brandt with 2 and Kelly Henderson with 1.  The next game is at home against Triton at 4:30.
